Guido Ferro
A self-described “Produce Guy who loves to eat,” Guido Ferro can almost always be found in either the garden or the kitchen. Thanks to the culinary talents of his mother and grandmother, Guido grew up with an abiding respect for the integrity food. As an adult, he channeled these values into a passion for organic gardening, gradually becoming an expert in the field. Today, he is active in public education about produce, organic agriculture and the environment. Guido joins Beyond Wonderful Produce Expert Dan Avakian on the radio as one half of “The Produce Pair.”

Rita Ferro began cooking as a child, and soon learned the value of her talents, selling homemade cakes to her neighbors for a dollar a piece. Today, the kitchen remains her favorite room in the house—particularly since her husband, John, has finally decided to join her there!
