HOW TO
Peel Tomatoes, Plums, and Peaches

Here's a quick and easy way to peel tomatoes, plums, and peaches.

1.Insert a paring knife next to the stem, cut around, and remove it.

  2. Cut an “X” into the bottom of the fruit.

  3. Drop the fruit into a pot of boiling water for 10–30 seconds. Remove it with a slotted spoon when the skin around the “X” begins to curl. A ripe fruit peels quicker than an under ripe one.

  4. Place the fruit in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.

5. Peel the skin off with a paring knife or your fingers.
