Stuffed, Bacon Wrapped Dates Recipe

Make it easy on yourself by assembling these succulent treats up to one day ahead, then popping them in the oven at party time. Dress them up with nuts, sweet pickles, cocktail onions, or a filling of your own invention.

Ingredients
Serves 24
24   dates, pitted
12 slices bacon, cut in half
Stuffing Choices    
1/4 cup cream cheese, cold
24   almonds, pecans, sweet pickles, or cocktail onions*

 

 

 
 
Directions 
 

Pre-heat oven to 400°

  1. Slit each date and stuff it with ½ teaspoon of cream cheese and your choice of filling.
  2. Cut the bacon strips into halves. Wrap each date with the bacon and close by overlapping the ends.
  3. Place dates on a baking sheet and cook until the bacon is crisp—Approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Serve immediately.
