Chocolate Frosting

This traditional sheet cake frosting is everything you’d expect: rich, fudgy and almost achingly sweet. Chopped nuts add crunch and character—irresistible!

Ingredients

Serves Enough to generously cover
a 9x13-inch cake.

1/2	cup	butter, room temperature
4	tablespoons	cocoa
6	tablespoons	milk
2 1/2	cups	powdered sugar, sifted
1	teaspoon	vanilla
3/4	cups	chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan.
Add the cocoa and milk and bring to a boil.
Remove from the heat and add the powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Keep warm until ready to use.

Preparation time: 10 minutes.
